Attention all foodies; more fine food events to enjoy in Melbourne. The Queen Vic Markets in Elizabeth Street is great for fresh, quality food and produce; however as of this Sunday the 2nd of October Melbourne foodies will be in heaven as Annual Market Week comes to town at this iconic Melbourne location. Eat! Drink! Flavours of Melbourne which will be held on October 2nd, kicks off this annual event.

Expect to see free cooking demonstrations by many of Melbourne's talented chefs in tandem with an outdoor regional producers market. Be prepared - especially between 9am to 4pm this Sunday, the turnout will be big following on from the AFL Grand Final.

Melbourne Market Week will also showcase minor food parties, and expect (if your lucky) some more entertainment with Spanish and similar street performances you usually expect to find at Queen Vic Markets on busy weekends. Eat, go food shopping, eat a doughnut at the iconic doughnut van near the entertainment and you have made your day at Queen Vic Markets; otherwise the rest of the markets is not worth your while where there are clothes and other items for sale including cheap souvenirs.

If you are interested, a tour of the markets is also available and this event has been designed to be child friendly. Have a great day this Sunday if you can make it to Annual Market week, otherwise you have until the 9th of October to enjoy.
