Who doesn't love getting extra cash? Some might think you have to put in the hard yards to obtain it - however getting extra cash can be super easy and you'll be surprised you never thought of it in the first place!
1. Sell your unwanted goods
Take a good look around your house, wardrobe, cupboards, storage room and garage. There's got to be some stuff in your home that you don't use anymore that you can list for sale on Facebook or Gumtree.
Take a good clear photo of what you are selling, upload it to your chosen platform and write a detailed yet short description. Choose a fair price and wait for the bites!
Make an account on Gumtree here
Dog walking/Pet mindingIf you love animals then perhaps a mini side gig in walking dogs is for you? Advertise on your local Facebook groups, Gumtree or Airtasker. Look up what the going rate is for dog walking and base your price on that. If you like to look after animals then advertise your services to be a pet sitter. You may want to consider getting a police check so your clients know you are trustworthy.
3. Tutoring If you are great at a particular subject, then offer your tutoring services to school kids. A lot of parents would love their child to have extra tutoring in certain areas of schooling for a low price! If you are a whiz at maths, superb at English or a gun at history, offer your services for a good price and watch the money roll in.
4. Teach a musical instrumentIf you are great at playing a certain instrument, why not offer your services for a fee! You can teach others in their home or your own.
If you have two of the same instrument it will make it easier, so the student can practice. Spread the word about your services and business will likely follow.
5. Lifts for cash
This is a popular way to make some side cash for a long while and that is offering to give people lifts in exchange for cash.
I would only recommend doing this type of job with people you know. So giving friends lifts to place such as the city, a concert, or maybe home from a night of drinking. Many years ago, I offered my services to friends and acquaintances on weekends and made a nice stack of cash!
