Easiest chicken dish you've probably ever made
This dish is perfect for those cooler days that pop up unexpectedly in the middle of warm weather. You are hunkered down with ice cream and watermelons and then the mercury drops leaving you craving some warm food. Pepper comes quickly to the rescue and nothing carries pepper to advantage as chicken does.
Pepper Chicken is easy to prepare and can be marinated and left in the fridge for easy cooking when emergency hits. It calls for simple ingredients that are probably just lying around in the pantry. Ginger garlic paste is available in separate tubes at Woollies and also in a mixed form at Asian groceries. Both work well. If using separate tubes take equal amounts. That's all there is to it. So here goes.
Ingredients Chicken 500gms
Pepper 1/2 tblspoon level Ginger Garlic Paste 1tblspoon Soy Sauce 2tblspoons Tomato Sauce 2tblspoons Salt to taste Olive Oil for cooking
If adding optionals,
Add onions and cook for five minutes.
Add all ingredients, stir well.
Add potatoes and cashews.
Cover and cook for ten minutes.
Add tomato sauce, and stir well.
Cook for another two minutes, and you're done.
