An easy, healthy slice to make with your kids
Do you love Choc Chip muesli bars, that you buy from the supermarket? This recipe, below, tastes just like them, so you can either cut it up as a slice (as pictured) or cut it into narrow bars and turn them into your own homemade muesli bars. If you have kids, this is an easy recipe that you can make together. Why don't you make it together these school holidays?

Ingredients:

1 cup of peanut butter
1/2 cup maple syrup
1/2 cup milk
1 teaspoon vanilla essence
2.5 cups of oats
1 cup of Rice Bubbles
1/2 cup slivered almonds (or sliced almonds, granulated nuts etc)
1/2 cup dried cranberries
1/2 cup dark chocolate cooking chips

Topping:

Combine the wet and dry ingredients and bake for 20 minutes. Cool, then add the melted chocolate drizzle

Step 5: Press the mixture firmly with a fork and bake for 20 minutes, until hard. Allow to cool for 5 minutes.

Step 6: Place the chocolate melts in a microwave-safe bowl and heat at 30 second intervals until smooth and runny. Drizzle over the top of the slice randomly. Place in fridge for 30 minutes to harden the chocolate.

Step 7: Take out of the slice tin and slice up into squares. Serve your slice and place the remaining slices into a sealed container and store in the fridge.

It's delicious, homely, nutritious and tastes like something your Grandma would make! Why don't you give it a try?
