Sometimes I just crave a chocolate cake. I want that luscious taste in my mouth, and I want it now. That is when I make this really easy and fast chocolate cake. No fuss, let´s get started!

100 g butter
2 eggs
1 cup (= 250 ml) granulated sugar
1 tablespoon vanillin powder
3 tablespoons cacao
0.8 cup (=200 ml) white plain flour

How to do it

Preheat the oven to 175° C.

Melt the butter.

Whisk egg and sugar using an electric beater.

Add the vanillin powder and cacao, whisk gently

Add the flour and finally the melted butter. Whisk gently into a smooth mixture.

Pour the mixture into a round baking tin (preferable with a detachable side), approximately 20 cm in diameter.

Bake in the middle part of the oven for about 20 minutes.

When done, it should look something like this:

Serve with whipped cream and maybe some strawberries, raspberries, or like I did last time, watermelon (anything reddish looks great with the brown cake and white cream).
