A decadent dessert you can whip up tonight
If you are looking for an easy chocolate mousse recipe, which is reasonably healthy, then why don't you whip this easy Chocolate & Avocado Mousse for something different tonight? It has just 5 ingredients, requires a food processor and it is ready in just 3 easy steps!

Although the avocado sounds like an unusual addition, it provides thickness and creaminess to the mousse as well as including healthy good fats, vitamins and minerals. After the mousse has set, you can't even taste the avocado - it is just pure chocolate goodness. Spoon it into some pretty dessert glasses and impress your family tonight!

What To Do

Step 1: In a microwave-safe bowl, add the Choc Bits and microwave for 1 minute, stir, then continue to heat at 30 second intervals until smooth. Allow to cool for 1 minute.

Step 2: In a food processor, add the remaining ingredients, then add the melted chocolate. Blend for 1 minute, or until smooth.

Step 3: Remove the blade and spoon into dessert bowls. Place bowls in freezer for at least 1 hour to set and then move into the fridge. When ready to serve, add the frozen raspberries, sprinkle of icing sugar and Choc Bits.

Dessert made in 3 easy steps!

Although it is tempting to eat the mousse straight away, you can taste the avocado flavour in it (which kids don't seem to like, if you're making it for the family!). If you pop it in the freezer to set and then move it into the fridge, it has time for the chocolate flavour to be absorbed into the whole bowl and when it is ready to be served, you can't taste it at all.

Once you have made this once, it is a handy recipe to keep in mind if you have friends coming over unexpectantly for dinner, or if you need to use up some avocados which are getting too ripe. It is a decadent, dark chocolate dessert which you want to make again and again!
