Have you been to the recently renovated, refurbished and spiffed up Eastland? You should. It's aces.
Shops GALORE. Big and little, you name it – it's here. The malls are DELIGHTFUL. Featuring artworks by renowned Australian artist, David Bromley, it is an absolute treat to wander along and admire the beautiful surroundings. Tastefully decorated with easy access, flattering lighting and a good helping of la-di-da.
Don't even get me started on the Town Square precinct. Oh, that's what I'm here for? Ok. I guess I'd better offer my thought then! Well it's fab. With a mix of both big hitters and boutique restaurants like Huxtaburger, Jimmy Grants, and Paco's Tacos to name just a few, there is truly something for everyone. My personal favourite = The Cellar Door. A super cool bar and eatery, offering the best of local produce over three levels, not the least of which is the utterly fab rooftop bar.
So as it turns out, Easland continues to smash out the wins. The latest offering from Eastland is set to be their Jazz Sessions, featured every Thursday in February from 7-9pm in the Town Square.
Over four live performances, Jazz lovers will be treated to some of Melbourne's finest Jazz and Blues artists in Bossa Mendoza, Nichaud Fitzgibbon, The Fem Belling Quintet, and Ruth Rogers-Wright. A cheeky drink, some delicious food, and beautiful surrounds – not bad for a local Thursday night.
