Eastern Beach is in its own small way is a haven of summer bliss, located in Geelong. The ocean pool, protected from sharks and various other dangerous creatures is a bubble of excitement and energy. The swimming enclosure, encircled by semi-circular deck holds a large expanse of sea water.

It is an excellent getaway for summer days. Diving boards, dive tower, spinning wheels (which you can lay or sit on before plummeting into the ocean – serious fun!) and floating islands mean that even on days which can be barely classed as summer Eastern beach is a riot of cheering, young people and show boating – all excellent to watch or participate in.



For the less than confident swimmers or those with young families the shallow children's pool is an excellent place to recline and cool off. Complete with fountain, the centre of the pool is an excellent place to chill and receive a sensational massage as the fountain's water crashes into your back.

Grassy knolls also surround Eastern beach, and for those who'd rather watch than get wet it's a good place to recline have a picnic, enjoy a book or for the more social - flirt.

Finally if after a few hours Eastern beach has failed to occupy your entire day, there are some art deco buildings near by or a walk along the Waterfront (literally the next beach over) which boasts the Baywalk Bollards which reflect the community's past and its people.
