Special arrangements for Dandenong Market have been made for the Easter period with customers' safety at the top of the list.
Dandenong Market will have their meat, fish and deli hall open for customers to grab last-minute Easter essentials including seafood, pork and hot cross buns. Two of the fishmongers and Melina's Bakery and Larder will be taking pre-orders for Thursday's trade. The contact details can be found here. On Thursday, like any other market day, Dandenong Market will be monitoring social distancing. The measures put in place include limiting access to the lift to one person at a time, putting crosses throughout the market on the floor to help customers visualise what social distancing looks like and frequent audio and video announcement reminders. Dandenong Market asks that customers respect and abide by social distancing policies during their visit.
Dandenong Market will be closed on Good Friday and open (fresh produce and takeaway food only) on Saturday 7am-4pm and Sunday 9am-4pm over the Easter weekend too. Customers are encouraged to support the small businesses who trade at the market with the knowledge that health and safety are paramount during these challenging times.
