On Good Friday, 25th March 2016, the Thurlow Street Artisans Village will be buzzing with its annual 'Easter in the Village' family fun day!

Located down a quaint laneway off Thurlow Street, only 100 metres away from the busy Enoggera/Kelvin Grove Road, is the hidden treasure of Thurlow Street Artisans Village.

This friendly community is surrounded by local businesses with a creative flair and on Good Friday, families are invited to enjoy a range of Easter themed activities, events and special deals:

Come along with the kids from 9am - there will be lots to do throughout the day, including:

  • Face painting and colouring with Lisa Taylor-King

  • Interactive furniture painting demonstrations and workshops by Shabby Treasures down the lane

  • A Bake Sale by Breast Friends Fundraising

  • Easter themed mini-portrait sessions with Melanie Rose Photography and some very special guinea pig guests from QLD Guinea Pig Refuge (bookings are essential)

  • Vonnie Devonshire teas for $5 (tea or small coffee and scone with jam, butter and cream)

  • An Easter Egg Hunt at 11am

Bookings are now open for the Easter themed mini-portrait sessions with Melanie Rose Photography: the $25 fee includes a 15 minute Easter themed 'mini' session with the guinea pigs, an 8x6' printed photograph and the single digital file. To make a booking, please click here.

In addition to 'Easter in the Village' event, families can also explore Thurlow Street Artisans Village's creative and inspiring businesses including:

  • Taylor-King Gallery, an art and collaboration space which plays host to a range of events, including The Brisbane Anywhere Theatre Festival 2016.

  • Shabby Treasures down the lane, a quirky bunker full of vintage trinkets and homely decor and unique furniture brought back to life.

  • Melanie Rose Photography Studio, offering studio family portraiture or an urban outdoor photo shoot.

  • Vonnie's Coffee Shop, where you can browse the gallery or sit and relax in the tranquil surrounds over Devonshire Tea.

Come and discover all that Thurlow Street Artisans Village has to offer this Good Friday!
