Get out of town and head for the hills this Easter. With kids activities, chocolate making, Bavarian floor shows, markets and Easter egg hunts there's bound to be something for everyone.

Children's Week at Skyhigh Mount Dandenong, 7 - 20 April 2014

Start at the top with school holiday activities with spectacular views. Check the program for different free activities every day including bouncy castle, face painting, mini golf, sand art and balloon twisting. Come on Easter Sunday for the easter egg hunt at 10.00am. Snow cones and fairy floss are available every day but extra charges may apply. Activities are free but gate charges may apply.

Chocolate making classes, Olinda

Impress your friends and family with decadent chocolates, handmade by you. Come to a half or full day Easter chocolate class at Wild Patch Chocolates and Retreat in Olinda. Prices start at $165.00 for a half day class.

Family Fun Day at the National Rhododendron Gardens, Tuesday 15 April 10am - 3pm

Bring the kids to the National Rhododendron Gardens for free family fun. Activities include the Amazing Race, reptile and marsupial handling, CFA display and Stax the Didgeman didgeridoo workshops. No bookings required.

Puffing Billy Easter Sunday Treasure Hunt, Emerald, 10am - 2pm

Ride the steam train to Emerald Lake or simply drive and park to join in the Easter egg treasure hunt on Easter Sunday. Treasure hunt forms will be available from Emerald Lake Park Cafe, Lakeside Station, the Environment Centre or the Model Railway on the day.

Emerald Craft & Produce market, Sunday 20th April, 9am - 3pm

Spend Easter Sunday in beautiful Emerald browsing over 75 stalls including preserves, cakes, coffee, food stalls, local produce, vegetables and plants, jewellery, clothing, food, lifestyle products, music, haircuts and massage. Emerald Market is held on the 3rd Sunday of every month throughout the year.

Easter Sunday lunch & dinner at the Cuckoo

Let someone else cook on Easter Sunday at the famous Cuckoo Restaurant in Olinda. Enjoy an international buffet with lively Bavarian entertainment (think cow bell ringing and yodelling). Call 03 9751 1003 for bookings.
