The
Blue Lotus Water Gardens is a magical place not to be missed. An unexpected oasis of beauty, it will take your breath away. It's fully equipped with all you need for a great family day out. There's a grab-and-go food station, a cafe, lots of seating in idyllic spots, and a playground and more for the children. Only open for approximately 3.5 months of the year, this year is coming to a close on the 10th of April (Easter weekend) and it would be a shame to miss it, especially if you've never been. It's a definite must-see for the bucket list.
This Easter, do something completely different and treat your family to
Easter Fun at the Gardens from
Sat 8 to Mon 10 April 2023 (operating hours 10am to 5pm) at
2628 Warburton Highway, Yarra Junction. Look for the pink flags out front for the entrance. It's best to get your
tickets online (Adult $21, Snr/Pension $18.50) as long weekend holiday periods are its busiest and it would be a shame to miss out on tickets at the gate. Do note ticket prices are for admission only and do not include Easter activities, which are free. Also of note, a Child Ticket is only available to children aged 0-15 years and must be accompanied by an adult with a paid ticket. Child Egg Hunt tickets include garden admission and entry to 1 egg hunt session only. Child Egg Hunt tickets ($9 inc. egg hunt, storybook show & garden admission) are limited and must be booked online, so get in early.

The Garden have teamed up with Mad Hatter Theatrics from Warburton and the Easter Bunny to provide kiddies with a magical experience. The Easter Bunny and his storybook friends will be in the Fairy Garden to conduct eggsellent Easter hunts on Easter Saturday, Sunday and Monday. Children will be invited to search for artificial eggs to give the Easter Bunny who will swap the artificial eggs for 4 x hen-sized chocolate eggs. The egg hunts run for 40 minutes followed by the Storybook Show. The Show will invite children to take part in a wonderful roving pantomime that features everyone's favourite storybook character, including Mad Hatter, Alice in Wonderland, Queen of Hearts and others as they help celebrate Alice's special surprise birthday. Performed amongst the audience, this interactive show runs for approximately 20 mins.

Listed above - egg hunt and storybook sessions. Although there's no special entertainment for children on Good Friday, all facilities will be open, including the Flower Fairy Garden, Ice Cream Shop and the new tree house. Garden Spotto activities are also on offer to keep the kids occupied during their visit. With over 14 acres of stunning lakes, waterfalls and amazing plant exhibits to explore, this is a fantastic destination for families to experience. Thousands of autumn flowers including, impatiens, petunias, begonias, salvias and many others provide colourful vistas as visitors wander the grounds. Highlights include the amazing Giant Amazon Waterlily with its huge lily pads. As aforementioned, the Garden has fantastic facilities including dozens of picnic huts, BBQs, Lily Pond Café, Ice Cream Kiosk, Plant Nursery and Gift shops.
