When Blue Lotus Water Garden and Mad Hatter Theatrics from Warburton team up, the result is a magical experience, especially for the children, this coming Easter. Set in the picturesque surrounds of the lotus garden, look forward to Easter shenanigans that involve eggcellent egg hunts, face painting, dragon spotto, and much more but first you need to book your tickets on the website . It's all happening at 2628 Warburton Highway, Yarra Junction. Be sure to book the child egg hunt ticket online if you want your children to participate as the child ticket is for admission only, and does not include Easter activities. Do note a Child Ticket is only available to children aged 0-15 years and must be accompanied by an adult with a paid ticket. Child Egg hunt tickets include garden admission and entry to 1 egg hunt session only. Tickets are limited, so get in early so as not to miss out.

Storybook Eggcellent Egg Hunts schedules are as follows, and run for an hour. From Sat 30 Mar to Mon 1 Apr 2024 the AM sessions are at 10.30am and the PM sessions are at 1pm. The Easter Bunny and his storybook friends including Alice in Wonderland, Mad Hatter, Queen of Hearts and others will be at the garden to conduct eggcellent Easter hunts over these three days. Children will be invited to search for artificial eggs to give the Easter Bunny who will swap the artificial eggs for 4 x hen sized chocolate eggs. The approx 1 hour egg hunts include entertainment by the storybook characters. Other entertainment includes face painting by the lovely Lara who charges a small fee for her services. Being the year of the Dragon, kids are going to love Dragon Spotto where they search for different things in the garden, including special dragons. If the children return their pencils after completing the challenge, they will be rewarded with a sweet treat.

Even though Good Friday has not been mentioned, the Blue Lotus Water Garden will be open from 10am-5pm on the day, but there'll be no special entertainment for children. All facilities will be open including the Flower Fairy Garden, Ice Cream Shop and the new treehouse, Dragon Spotto activity and Face Painting. This Easter features a brand-new attraction - Australia's largest display of hanging baskets full of thousands of flowers. That's going to be a sight for sore eyes. The display stretches over half a kilometre with 180 baskets containing an amazing array of colourful begonias
and petunias.

With over 14 acres of stunning lakes, waterfalls and amazing plant exhibits to explore, the Blue Lotus Water Garden is an ideal destination for families, for a fun day out. With the many gazebos dotted around the gardens, a kids' play area, a cafe/restaurant and a kiosk on the premises, it has all your needs covered. Buy and eat or bring yourselves a picnic to enjoy by the beautiful blooms and water garden. Thousands of autumn flowers will be on show, including the new hanging basket display, the amazing Giant Amazon Waterlily with its huge lily pads (image below), and plenty of water lilies and lotus to see. Enjoy the fantastic facilities including picnic huts, BBQs, Café, Ice Cream Kiosk, Plant Nursery and Gift shops. Do note that the garden's cafe and other amenities are located inside the gardens and provided exclusively for visitors with a garden ticket.
