Make memories this Easter
Easter is a special time of the year, rivalled only by Christmas, for spending time with family and friends. Make this Easter egg-stra special at one of these egg-citing events. Okay, no more yokes, here are my top picks for a happy Easter.
Don't be late for this exquisite Easter event - the Mad Hatter's High Tea. Held in the grand lobby of the Stamford Plaza (CBD), this Easter feast has been designed for children and adults alike. Culinary creations include top hats, toad stools, Queen of Hearts jam tarts, and white chocolate rabbits. Sip champagne, pink lemonade, or fine tea while enjoying the soft sounds of the strings ensemble. The Mad Hatter's High Tea will be held daily from 3pm to 5pm (except Good Friday) until April 14. The cost is $45 for adults and $30 for children. Bookings are essential.
Enjoy a breakfast buffet at the Botanical Cafe (Mt Coot-tha Botanic Gardens) on Easter Sunday, March 31. Kids will be entertained with a live performance by Johnny the Jester, one of Australia's best children's magicians. Maybe he'll even pull a rabbit out of his hat.
The buffet is available from 8am until 11:30am. After a relaxing Sunday brunch, children can venture into the gardens for a free Easter egg hunt. Tickets cost $24.90 per adult and $12.90 per child. Book now to avoid disappointment.
Celebrate with Sirromet Cellar Door (Mount Cotton) at their Easter Family Fun Day on Sunday, March 31. Enjoy the sausage sizzle (only $2), fairy floss, and popcorn. Parents can relax listening to live music by Blue Steel while the kids are kept amused with pedal carts, rock climbing, and a jumping castle. The Easter Bunny will be hopping by handing out Easter eggs to everyone.
Entry to this fantastic, family day is free (rides are extra). The fun starts at 9am and lasts until 5pm. Kid's rides will operate from 10am to 4pm. The Cellar Door's cafe will be open from 11am to 3:30pm for your dining pleasure. Bookings are not required.
