Four Easter Egg Hunts in the Geelong and Bellarine Region - 2017

Enjoy the fun and excitement of an Easter egg hunt

Looking for a fun day out with the kids to celebrate Easter this year? There are a number of Easter egg hunts being held in the Geelong and Bellarine region this year, including the following four events:

1. Geelong Easter Egg Hunt at the Geelong Showgrounds

The Geelong Easter Egg Hunt will be held at the Geelong Showgrounds over the Easter long weekend, as part of a combined event with the Geelong Street Food Festival.

Each egg hunt is restricted to a specific age group (2-4-year-olds, 5-7-year-olds, 8-10-year-olds & 11-12-year-olds), and will be conducted on the hour, from 10am - 5pm, on each of the four days of the festival.

Entry to the street food festival is free, with tickets to the egg hunt priced at $10 (plus booking fee) per child, or $15 per child on the day.

Venue: Geelong Showgrounds,
79 Breakwater Rd, East Geelong, VIC 3219

Date/Time: The Egg Hunt will be on each day from Friday 14th April through to Monday the 17th of April. To view the time slots available (and the number of tickets left for each hunt), visit the event page and click on 'tickets'.

Cost: Tickets are available online for $10 (plus a $1.44 booking fee) or can be purchased for $15 per child on the day.

2. Pirate Easter Egg Hunt at the National Wool Museum

The National Wool Museum in Geelong are currently hosting a popular event for children, based on the Horrible Histories® series. The Horrible Histories - Pirates: The Exhibition event is open from now until the 17th of April, and will include an Easter Egg Hunt on April 16th 2017.

It's a great chance to explore the exhibition, while enjoying the fun of the Easter egg hunt.

The event is suitable for children under the age of 16, and children will be able to search the museum for pirate gold, which they can then exchange for easter treats.

Date/Time: 16 April 2017, 11:00am - 12:00pm

Cost: Adults are $9, Concession price is $7, and children under 16 are free when accompanied by a paying adult.

3. Easter Egg Hunt at The Bellarine Railway, Queenscliff

The Bellarine Railway will be holding an Easter egg hunt as part of their Easter celebrations on Saturday the 15th of April, and Easter Sunday, the 16th of April.

Each ticket includes a 45 minute return train ride to Drysdale on the scenic Bellarine railway, Easter activities (including the egg hunt) and a chance to meet the Easter Bunny. If you haven't been on the railway before, it's a very enjoyable trip for all ages, and enables you to see the Bellarine from a different perspective.

Venue: Queenscliff Railway Station
20 Symonds Street, Queenscliff 3225

Date/Time: Saturday 15th April & Sunday 16 April 2017.
The train departs from Queenscliff at 1:30pm.

Cost: Adults are $21, Seniors and Children (4-17 years) are $17 and toddlers (1-3 years old) are $6.
Family tickets are also available for $70 (2 Adults up to 3 children).

Bookings: Online bookings are recommended and available via trybooking, otherwise tickets can be purchased at the Queencliff booking office on the day (unless sold out prior to the event).

4. Easter Egg Hunt at Adventure Park

Adventure Park will be holding a huge Cadbury's Easter Egg Hunt on Sunday the 16th of April. There will be over 15,000 eggs to find, and the Easter Bunny will also be making an appearance.

The Egg Hunt is included in the admission price, which means not only do the kids get to enjoy the egg hunt, they also get to have a fun-filled day enjoying all the rides and activities, including the Aqua Racer, Gold Rush Rapids, Crazy Coaster, and the Wild West Canyon.

Venue: Adventure Park, 1249 Bellarine Hwy, Wallington Geelong

Date/Time: Sunday, 16th of April 2017,
The Easter Egg Hunt starts at 2pm, however the park is open from 10am - 5pm

Cost: Varies, depending ticket category.
Ticket prices are available here. If you're planning to visit on more than 3 occasions before the 17th of April 2017, then it's worth considering a season pass t save some money.
