The Easter Dog Parade is completely different to the Sydney Easter Parade and exactly like it sounds: it's a street parade that welcomes dogs as participants. The event will take place before Easter, on Saturday March 21, in Balmain.

The parade route will run along Darling Street, starting and finishing at Gladstone Park. This part of the day will only be an hour long, taking place between 12.15pm and 1.15pm.

The rest of the day will be full of activities, including a whole series of competitions. Perhaps your dog has the best trick? Or is the fluffiest? Maybe it's the happiest, the best dancer, the best biscuit catcher or has some other talent. There's heaps of ways to win something, including competitions for the owners, or guests who don't have dogs. These will run before the parade, from 10.00am to 12.00pm.

Other things you can do at the Easter Dog Parade include visit some of the stalls, get your dog massaged or visit the dog fortune teller and psychiatrist. At sunset there will be movies, running to 9.00pm (dog-themed of course, and G-rated for the kids). For a full schedule of all the activities, from 8.00am onwards, click here .

Entry to the Easter Dog Parade is only $4.00. You will need to have your completed form with you when you arrive (registration is 8.00am to 9.45am). It can be printed out here .
