This coming Easter weekend, collectors from far and wide will be wending their way to the Ferny Creek Collectors Fair, at the Ferny Creek Recreation Reserve Hall.


The hall is situated in a lovely bush land setting adjacent to Sherbrooke Forest in the Dandenong Ranges, approximately one hour's drive from the centre of Melbourne. It features a large hall, log cabin, children's playground, cricket pitch, tennis courts. It sits at the corner of Clarkmont and Hilton Roads, Ferny Creek, 3786.

The Ferny Creek Recreation Reserve Hall has disabled toilets, and wheelchair access is provided. A large car park is available.

This is the third year the Collector's Fair will be held, and already there are 12-14 stall holders booked to show their wares.

Collectors come from interstate, as well as from throughout Victoria. You'll find books, stamps, ceramics, toys, tools, advertising and cards. This year again there will be die-cast cars, football ephemera, and collectible glassware.




Pandora's Box Antiques at 10 Twin Creeks Road, Pakenham, will offer all sorts of collectibles and Stamps from Cover Connection and Maree from MPN Stamps will have a great selection of stamps to choose from.

For the reader, there will be a selection of collectible books offered by two great local book vendors:

Kallista Books on Tom Roberts Road, Kallista (Melway Map 75J3). Their hours of trading are Saturdays and Sundays 10.00 a.m through to 4.00 p.m.


Rainy Day Books at 1301 Mountain Highway (at the roundabout), The Basin, (Melway Map 65 G7). Rainy Day Books specialises in fiction from 1920s - 1950s, children's fiction, knitting patterns. Read their blog here .

Catering will be provided by Crunchy Nut Cafe of Monbulk
122 Main Rd, Monbulk. The comments last year from stall holders and visitors were that the "food was fantastic" and the vanilla slices weren't to be missed.


This event has already become a highlight in the diaries of thousands of collectors. Join the crowds this Easter weekend. Don't miss out.
