As part of the East Shores Precinct on Flinders Parade, Gladstone, this water play park is the newest place to play for locals and visitors. This free facility is surrounded by a green well-maintained lawn that is perfect for picnics or just lying down after wet play. You can reach the water play area by walking along the promenade which is just opposite the jetty.

An interactive sculptural artwork, Sentinel, designed by artist Simone Eisler, was situated in the middle of the water park. Sentinel is a celebration of life in the region, according to Eisler. Eisler's piece of art was inspired by maritime, aquatic and industrial imagery, as well as the history and geography of Gladstone and connections to country. Sentinel features colours and micro geometry of coral, shells, sea urchins, crustaceans, starfish and the surfaces of these creatures, including the scales of fish – particularly their iridescence. The water park also features different kinds of splash pads.

There are some bright yellow and orange benches under a picnic umbrella around the water park and also free BBQ stations. An amenities block, including changing rooms, are close by, which is handy. There is also playground nearby - just make sure you're dry before playing at this playground!

Please be mindful that the water play is glass free area. The water play will be open at 9am until 9pm during the hotter months, while it will be open until 6pm in the cooler months.
