East Ivanhoe has just taken it up a notch in terms of cafe offerings with the latest arrival of on Burton Crescent.

Just in time for the warmer Melbourne weather, East Ivy offers both indoor and outdoor seating so it's perfect for watching the world go by and soaking up a bit of sunshine.

Bringing a quality food and coffee offering to the area, East Ivy's serving up specialty Proud Mary Coffee and Larsen and Thompson tea paired with a breakfast and lunch menu that will have you coming back again and again.

Owners Emilio Rogliano and Daniel Amato said that following the success of East Ivy's sibling cafe in Brunswick, Lux Foundry, they were inspired to open another and bring the same great quality food and service to East Ivanhoe.

Inside you'll find something a bit different for the area with an industrial look that's reflective of their non-standard offerings. With raw finishes, concrete bench tops and industrial lighting, guests can expect something a little different here.

"It's food with a modern twist," says Emilio. "There are no standard dishes. Our menu includes Proud Mary espresso coffee as well as filtered coffee (with refill) and even Vietnamese coffee. We also have some atypical breakfast and lunch items such as beetroot cured salmon with potato latke, yuzu, apple, cucumber and smoked yoghurt."

"My two favourites are the super food coconut porridge and sweet potato, quinoa and kale fritters," adds Daniel. "We take particular care to source as much as possible from local producers such as South Gippsland free range eggs, Jam Lady jams from the Yarra Valley, our sourdough from Crumbs Organic Bakehouse in Ascot Vale and we've sourced our fruit and vegetables as we as our brioche burger buns from local Ivanhoe suppliers," he adds.

From the food to the speciality coffee, everything is served up at East Ivy with genuine hospitality and attention to detail with each visit.

Situated at 6 Burton Crescent, East Ivy is just a short stroll from East Ivanhoe's village on Lower Heidelberg Road Bookings can be made for weekdays only by calling 03 9499 8186.
