A popular annual event, George Street's vibrant thoroughfare will yet again be graced by East Fremantle's George Street Festival. As the title suggests, it's held on George St, East Fremantle on Sunday 1 December 2019 from 1am to 7pm. Stay updated for more details via the event page link given.
Follow the beloved Town of East Fremantle's Heritage Trail and take it home with you in the form of a tea towel. A unique local gift that'll help you tick a few names off your Christmas list. You can pre-order for pick-up at the Festival, or from the Town Hall the following week. You can also pay a little extra and have it posted. They're gorgeously high quality, extra-large, ethically sourced and made from thick natural cotton. It's printed in full colour with local heritage building artwork thanks to MOJO Digital Studio.
For a sticky-beak at some of the stallholders coming with their wares to the Market, see the Facebook page. Many of them will be up-cycling and recycling like Cellardoor Creations who design and create modern homewares from recycled oak wine barrels. Hence they are as durable as they are stylish. There'll also be a range of gourmet packaged foods available so get ready to fill the pantry with some Bee products for starters.
For the full gamut of street eats, head to the King and George Street intersection for a feast. Andy's Bratwurst will be there with their affordable German food and traditional, authentic German bratwurst covered in a fresh bread bun with pan-fried onions, sauerkraut and a selection of local and German sauces. The Left Bank will be joining the Festival with their Pop-Up Bar 'n' Paella amongst many other stalls.
