Easey's on Easey St
For a couple of years now I have travelled past the 3 demissioned train carriages that are perched on a building above Easey St in Collingwood and have been fascinated by it.
Google searches revealed that it was either just an architectural statement, art or that they will be turned into a unique bar. But now, we know. Next month, Jimmy Hurlston and Jeremy Gaschk are opening "Easey's, a new diner, where customers will be able to eat burgers in the carriages and enjoy some fairly great views from the rooftop. And because we are in Melbourne, there will be some pretty great coffee as well.
Whilst I can't tell you what the food tastes like and I can't tell you what the decor is like, I am pretty excited to find out. With Jimmy Hurlston making his living out of eating burgers
(
Jimmy's Burgers) and Jeremy Gaschk as an event manager and the former curator of the RTIST Gallery in Prahran, it will definitely be worth checking out.
