The Eagle Vale Library is one of Campbelltown's branch libraries and services the areas around Eschol Park, Raby and Kearns mostly. The library is conveniently situated beside the popular Eagle Farm Reserve and within the Eagle Farm Central complex which also contains the Eagle Vale Leisure Centre - the local gym and swimming pool.
The complex feels reasonably new and there is plenty of parking space out the front, which rarely gets full. The library itself is just inside the entry on the right and while small has all the services one would hope for from their local library.
Front and centre are a selection of DVDs that you can take out on loan. There are a lot of fairly recent titles and plenty of old favourites. They also have a collection of audiobooks and music CDs which are a great way to entertain yourself when you are busy doing house chores.
Like at Campbelltown's main branch, there is a collection of biographies of famous people. There is also a fair section of other non-fiction books including DIY and even texts for school age young people.
Study tables have been placed up against this window, making for a very relaxing spot to while away the afternoon. It is particularly popular with teenage students who come to the library after school to study.
This is made even easier by the fact that the library offers free WiFi, enabling patrons to use their own devices. If you prefer to use the onsite facilities there is a computer room where you can surf the internet and do printing and photocopying at the self-service kiosk.
A great place to find out what is happening in the local area
