Both events will be hosted by TechCamps4Kids who are specialist in teaching 21st-century skills through technology for kids ages 8 to 15. Although the Leederville Library events are for adults, one of TechCamps4Kids specialties is educating children to be E-Smart.
Computer for Seniors will be held in the Media Room on 07 September 2015 from 10 am to 12 noon. Seniors will learn to create an online email account, learn how to filter emails and eliminate junk mail, learn how to attached photos, documents and video, learn about online-scams and e-smart tips to keep Seniors safe online. Refreshments will be served and all attendees will receive a 'Step-by-Step' booklet custom created for this course.
Cyber Safety will be held in the Leederville Library Cafe on 08 September from 5:30 pm to 6:30 pm. This is the second time TechCamps4Kids will be hosting this event with the first completely booked out. Attendees will learn about pixels, trojans, viruses and social media, as well as ways how to minimise account hacks. Plus children's online behaviour will also be discussed with tips on how to keep the family E-Smart.
Bookings for both of the events are essential. Bookings can either be done online or through the Library.
