Tucked away off Melbourne street in North Adelaide resides a cute little coffee store, with a split personality. Named E for Ethel, the coffee house also dubs as a unique boutique selling one of a kind Australian made items.

My boyfriend and I stumbled across E for Ethel on one of the first warm nights of this pending yet not quite Summer. We were a little indifferent about our mood post dinnertime, and although a coffee could entice, we were not really feeling the mainstream Cibo.

Conveniently we noticed a sign advertising cool coffee, followed by the distant sound of laughter and a warm eclipse of fun. Taking a chance, we decided to have a peek.

What we found was an Indie style residence, the type that has you saying, "Well this is cool". A group of E for Ethel locals were sharing laughs and coffees over board games of all things. Thus It also happened to be Thursday night game night, which was fun.

Feeling slightly retro we had our coffee, and were impressed by the effort and small details provided in the store. Even our coffee was served with story lines from the Disney tale Bambi, as well as a biscuit.

However the coolest thing about this left from centre hut, is that it's not just a coffee store. In fact you can eat, and even shop as E for Ethel provides unique gift idea for all ages.

In terms of service, the staff are lovely and are passionate about this wonderful creation. E for Ethel is new on the scene but is definitely not going to be kept secret for long. In fact I'm sure it already has a cult following.

Next time you are in North Adelaide keep in mind this pleasant surprise, which makes you feel as though you have ventured further from home than you actually have. Enjoy a coffee, some lunch and shop till you drop!
