Dyslexia could affect from 3-6 students in every classroom in Australia yet it is not recognised as a specific learning difficulty in this country, within our education system.

This event is being organised by the Learning Difficulty Network who do a great job in attempting to raise the political profile of struggling students and assist in family support.

Please see the website for updates on this event, including a full day conference on the 18th of October. The organisations involved are also listed on their site along with links to further information.

You may think you don't know anyone with dyslexia as it may present as a student who just struggles through school and has no idea why. This is a great opportunity for teachers looking for professional development hours.
