So much to little time to see it all.
Its time to go Dutch for a day
The big clog

Olie Bollen are lekker!

For everyone who likes going Dutch, the annual St Marys Dutch Festival is on again. Held at the Rembrandt Dutch Club on the last weekend of March, it is a celebration of all things Dutch.

Dutch cuisine is often labelled as stodgy but try the various meat croquets, fricandels (kind of a spicy minced meat hot dog) with lashings of mustard and you won't be disappointed.

Dutch chips are made to have with mayonnaise.

Dutch sweets such as Olie Bollen (Dutch doughnuts) and the ever present Poffertjes (mini pancakes) are eaten with a liberal sprinkling of icing sugar.

If you're brave try some smoked eel or pickled herring and wash it all down with some classic Dutch beer while listening to a Dutch band or a guy on an accordion playing some traditional Dutch hits.

If that's not enough Dutchness for you, you can check out the clog making and Dutch art work for sale. There will be members of the Dutch Genealogy Society and the Dutch Australian Cultural Centre to answer all your Dutch migration and ancestry questions.

Don't forget to wear something orange in recognition of the House of Orange, the Dutch royal family.

And remember, if you can't go Dutch, you'll have to find someone to pay for you.
