“I am the emperor, and I want dumplings”-Emperor Ferdinand
Are you looking for an easy and affordable meal? Is Chinese your craving? Well then perhaps you should head down to Dumplings R Us on Rundle Street.
A personal favourite for me are the fried pork dumplings. The restaurant itself offers a variety of different dumplings such as steamed pork, chicken and prawn and vegetarian dumplings; as well as other oriental meals.
A problem I've noticed with their steamed dumplings at times is that they can be relatively soggy; of course, they're steamed so you must give leeway to this. On occasion however, it exceeds that certain leeway.
Being on Rundle Street and having such affordable costs, Dumplings R US can get very busy, whilst good for business this can leave customers unsatisfied given the wait times for food.
On numerous occasions I have also had to get up to get my own bowls for my sauce and even cups for my tea. The food itself is on an average level. Most pork dumplings regardless of their taste are relatively similar to me; therefore I have no complaints in regards to their fried dumplings. I have overheard complaints however.
Dumplings R US is a great place given its convenience and affordability. Their prices are perfect for the students that spend their days in the city, however if you're going at around lunch time I would make sure you have plenty of time to spare in case of a wait.
