Dumpling Boy Temple is a "pseudo-shaman space on steroids where the kitsch-o-meter is set to full on".
Dumpling Boy Temple is actually an art installation space which will give you a unique, kitsch shamanistic experience! The temple space takes its inspiration from shamanism cultures in contemporary Asia. Here there will be a mixture of several traditions and symbols, all combined with manufactured interesting objects.
She has moved to live in Australia and since then, UB has been initiating and teaching visual arts workshops and collaborative community arts projects. She has developed partnerships with about twenty local organisations all of whom support multiculturalism and "co-created artworks with over 1,000 participants in Victoria."
Her latest work IS Dumpling Boy Temple and this exhibition is part of Mapping Melbourne, 2018.
You and your family and friends will be able to access this family-friendly space and here there will be a mixture of traditions and symbols as well as the manufactured objects and kitsch cultures of contemporary Asia.
The event will commence on Thursday 6th December 2018 and it will go till Saturday 8th December.
Exhibiting Times will be: 6th – 8th December, from 10.00 am until 6.00 pm.
Testing Grounds will be at:
1 City Road, Southbank
This is a wheelchair accessible venue and is also a FREE EVENT for all.
