Dumbo Feather 's conversation with Julian Burnside QC will be held at The White House - 11 Princes St, St Kilda on 27 October 2016 at 6.30pm. CLICK HERE for tickets which are $32.65 (student and concession card holders) to $42.86 (Full price).

Included in your ticket will be some nibbles, a bag full of goodies and beer, wine and soft drink. There'll be conversation time with likeminded people; 40 minutes of conversation and 20 minutes of questions from the audience.

Back by popular demand, this is Julian Burnside's second Dumbo Feather conversation event exploring justice and human rights in modern Australia. His deep and intimate knowledge of life in oppressed conditions will move and inspire you with ideas for how we can bring a fair and just ending to their stories.

This Australian barrister who practises principally in commercial litigation, trade practices and administrative law, is also a human rights and refugee advocate, and author.

He has published a children's book, Matilda and the Dragon , as well as Word Watching , a collection of essays on the uses and abuses of the English language, and Watching Brief: reflections on human rights, law, and justice. He is also the editor of From Nothing to Zero , a compilation of letters written by asylum-seekers held in Australia's detention camps.
