Located in Fortune Centre,
Duke Dessert offers traditional desserts with a modern take. Its desserts are based on family recipes and made using natural ingredients without artificial flavourings. Having heard of this relatively new shop, I couldn't resist but visit (twice) when I was in Singapore.
Chendol
On our first visit, we ordered
chendol ($3.60) and
mango pomelo sago ($6.90). The chendol was served on coconut milk snow ice, topped with fluffy pandan jelly and red beans. Durian can be added if you so desire. As for the mango pomelo sago, every single spoonful was a pleasure. Fragrant mango chunks were beautifully balanced with zesty pomelo meat. These came on top of silky mango puree and sago. It's definitely the best I've had so far.

I returned the next day to try
beancurd grass jelly red bean with tapioca balls ($6.50). As its name suggests, the creamy soy beancurd base was completed with bouncy grass jelly and red bean as well as different kinds of tapioca balls. I loved the taste of everything together.

Overall, the prices were very reasonable for the quality of desserts I got. Wished I had more time to savour other items on the menu. Some of the hot desserts include almond paste, walnut paste and sesame paste. Various puddings and almond drinks are available too. For further information, follow Duke Dessert on
