The building's old but the food is fresh

Druids Cafe is located in the historic Druid's House building on Swanston Street, not far from Melbourne Central and RMIT University. I often walk past it when I can't get a tram.[ADVERT]

Nothing about this place is super fancy and there's nothing wrong with that. You'll get good value for money at Druid's – I had a tomato toasted sandwich for only $3. Small coffees are also $3 (they use Dimattina Coffee and tend to be generous with the chocolate powder on top) and they serve breakfast until 3pm, which is kind of cool.

Lots of bacon and eggs are to be had here, ditto wraps, focaccias, schnitzels and burgers. Druid's full menu is available here but read it with caution – they don't really sell 'deserts'.

Pretty yoghurts and slices:

Breads, bagels, croissants and all the good toppings:

Plenty of seating:

There's sometimes a small line for coffee in the morning, but you'll still be served fairly fast.
