This is the perfect training course if you are intending to purchase a drone this Christmas. Best of all, no experience is required and the drones will be provided, so you just need to book online and come along on the day.
The training course is held at Hall ACT. Specific details about location will be provided after you enrol. The 'theory' component of the course will be held inside in a classroom-like environment, while the flying exercises are conducted in outdoor space.
The 4-hour beginners' course is $285. This includes written material and other resources, use of the Drone-Wise aircraft fleet for flying and morning tea.
If you are under 18 years of age, you will need to be accompanied by a parent or adult friend or relative. Only one course fee will be charged if you need an adult present with you.

Martin Bass: Martin is an experienced aviator with over 20 years experience flying helicopters and fixed-wing aircraft. He is also a commercial drone pilot and enjoys recreational drone flying as well. In his other role as a consultant and trainer to local government, Martin is an experienced adult educator and holds an honorary position with the University of Western Sydney.
Tim is an experienced photographer as well as a commercial drone pilot. His main photographic genre is nature and wildlife, using the drone to extend photographic possibilities and perspectives. Tim is also an experienced adult educator and has lectured at the University of Technology Sydney and the University of Canberra.
