It's free Community Breakfast time again for Australia Day at the Dromana Foreshore - Pier Precinct. Be there from 8am to 10am on the 26th of January 2015 and celebrate with fellow Aussies at this Free Community Event that will run till 1.30pm.
A photographic exhibition titled 'Images of Dromana' from the winning entries and finalists from the Hillview Quarry will also be on display from 8am to 1pm.
Tap your toe along while you have breakfast as from 8.30am to 1.30pm there will be 'Live Music by the Pier' that will feature Missing Links; Dromana Primary School Anthem Singers; Ron Vincent as Cat Stevens; Ling Marra; Hip Cat Circus; Little Munchkins Dance Crew and Lachlan Wilde - Magician. Kids will be spoilt for choice with more free kid's activities between 9am and 1pm. There's Poppy the Clown, Hip Cat Circus workshops, handball and netball competitions, an animal farm, a jumping castle, face painting, family quiz on the foreshore, cup cake decorating, wooden paint art, paint pot art, potters at work and caricatures and of course lots of 'Rides' at ticket prices.
The Australia Day Ambassador Dennis Banfield will be addressing the community from 10.30am to 11am and the 1st Dromana Sea Scouts will be raising the Flag. Dromana Australia 10th Anniversary awards will be handed out to local community groups celebrating 10 years of service from 11.30am to 12.30pm and the Community Youth Award Presentations will also take place at the same time. Sounds like a lot happening in a short spate of time so get out there bright and early to not miss out and to celebrate our great Australia Day.
