I was fortunate enough to be a guest on their opening night at the
Perth Fringe World Festival for 2018. Having been a winner of the
2016 Adelaide Fringe Award for
Best Circus & Physical Theatre with
Knee-Deep and
Best Circus & Physical Theatre, Avignon in 2015, the show was described by the
Scottish Herald as a
"dream-scape full of charm" .
Casus Circus has performed in over 20 countries worldwide and originated in Brisbane. Over the past 6 years, they have been stood out as the leaders in contemporary circus.

I was curious to know what was the story behind
Driftwood? This is what I found out; it's about their journey. As
Casus describes their inspiration came from driftwood, as it is very much like life. We drift down a flowing river, along the current of life and as we move along, we are shaped by those we encounter. We are guided along this river of life by the stories of our loved ones, strangers, even our enemies - this is what helps shape us into the people we are. Through their unique acrobatic shapes,
Casus shares this journey. Some are saying it is mesmerising work and is a colourful and a turbulent concoction of pure joy and intimacy.
