When we spend more time in our outdoor home, it's certainly a great idea to consider more inspiring and attractive patio area with the use of different planters. They have been a welcomed sign, give texture and privacy to any lifeless looking outdoor area. If bringing new energy and charm to the patio is currently on your to-do-list, look at these tips to get some advises. Let Your Patio Furniture Inspire the Choice of the Planters:
Furniture is the most crucial gardening feature because we always opt for a maximum comfort. The visual presence of the patio and the furniture thus should help sway your decisions to choose decorative planters. If your outdoor furniture is minimalist with simple lines, then consider planters with similar characteristics. The image below is a good example of how to match successfully furniture and planters. Presumingly, furniture with large proportions will require smaller plants.
Coordinate the Planters with Your Home's Architecture:
Planters come in a variety of styles, colours, shapes and heights. Before you take advantage of such diversity, you need to think of some aspects in advance. Firstly, decide which characteristics will mimic the overall architectural details of your home. For planters placed near an entrance, consider the height of the doorway, entry area and the exterior colour of the walls. Try and choose planters which will interplay well with walkways and paths. The most crucial detail, here is the correct measurements. Therefore, I'd suggest you to remember planters provide another vertical element to your outdoor leisure space and must fit properly. As such, your exterior home details should play an integral part when you choose the planters. The below image is an example of correctly proportioned planters on the both sides of the entry door.
The latest fad in commercial planters today is the illuminated modern planters. With such gardening feature your plants will no longer look ordinary and out of style. They are commonly used to enhance the interior design of your patio. Whether you opt for small or big planters, certain companies create special customised sizes which will fit your needs. The best feature of illuminated modern planters is the light source. They create a cosy ambiance or a dim light effect during night time. If you're busy and don't have enough time to look after the plants, the illuminated modern planters have a fibreglass inner liner which handles the soil and the whole drainage.
