Event:
For those of us suffering from QPAC withdrawal symptoms, great news! QPAC is back with lots of shows to book and enjoy. Go to www.qpac.com.au for a long list of QPAC live shows, and get in early, as social distancing may mean that there are less seats available.

For the whole extended family on Saturday 15 August at 10:30am, you can stream performances recorded at QPAC, Cairns and Townsville.

Conversation guests will include Aunty Coleen Wall (plus grand-daughter Josephine aged 9) and Dame Quentin Bryce (plus her 10 year old grandson).

"Charlie and I are delighted to be part of this wonderful initiative. I invite you to join us for morning tea as we chat about serious and fun topics, including the special relationships that exist between generations, and enjoy a delightful variety of performances from some of our best Queensland artists and companies," said Dame Quentin.

Happiness, family heritage and the importance of the arts will feature in the discussion "bringing people of all ages together over a shared love of performance" as John Kotas, CEO of QPAC puts it. "We love to celebrate family" he said "so it was a natural fit to deliver this event with Seniors Week", especially as day one of the week has the theme "Solidarity between generations".

That's why the youngsters are there as well we are celebrating how important family relationships are to the health and well-being of people of all ages.

So get online at www.qpac.com.au

The conversation will be interspersed with performances and interviews by some of Queensland's most outstanding artists; western classical and traditional Asian fusion ensemble JADE New World Collective, Babushka Cabaret, The Brat Pack Tappers, Cairns indie-folk artist Greta Stanley and Townsville musical theatre performer Sarah Murr.

So while we are waiting for the doors to open, we can be at QPAC in the comfort of our own home.
