Enjoy their art-rock / indie / post-apocalyptic folk music
Performing as part of the line-up for 4Senses at The Bridge Club, Drawn From Bees headlined the night, and had the room moving and grooving.

Drawn From Bees are a highly under-rated band here in Brisbane. Calling themselves art-rock / indie / alternative, their recorded tunes are lush with sound, with lyrics that paint rich imagery and amazing harmonies, and their live performance certainly demonstrated the same. The set-up for the 4Senses event was a great extension of this sensory feast with Maree Madden performing Auslan sign language interpretation and VJ SLOE presenting visual art on LED screens behind the band.

With a core of four band members, Drawn From Bees brought an extended eight-piece line-up on the night, and played their way through their 2009, 9-track "And The Blind Shall Lead The Way", their 2010, 14-track "Fear Not The Footsteps Of The Departed" and the recently released 13-track "The May King and His Paper Crown" and played for over an hour to the enjoyment of deaf and hearing patrons alike. My favourite performances included the slow, mournful feel of They Close The Door, the falsetto vocals in Of Walls And Teeth and the hypnotic, repeated lyrics in Long Tooth Setting Sun.
