Katie Roberts is the current Artist in Residence at the beautiful restored habitat of Darebin Parklands in Alphington.
During the month of October, Katie invites you to join one of her unique outdoor afternoon drawing workshops, which are held in the parklands themselves.
The next one will be an outdoor drawing workshop held on Sunday 12th October, from 1.30pm to 4.30pm.
Designed for all skill levels, this workshop is held in a relaxed, leisurely atmosphere. Amongst the natural landscape, participants will have the opportunity to draw ponds, trees, the creek and more. Simply bring a stool (if you need one), your art journal or sketch book, pencils (2H, HB, 2B, 4B and 6B), rubber and sharpener.
With Katie's guidance, participants will learn how to draw structures through quick sketching exercises. This will be followed by an exploration of tonal realism, which allows you to start to 'see' the world as it is and draw much more realistically.
This workshop is held in a small intimate group, ensuring that participants receive one-on-one advice and helpful tips and tricks.
The workshop is designed for adults (16 years and older) and is priced $50 per person. Concession card holders pay the discounted fee of $40.
Early bookings are encouraged - to reserve your spot, please email email@example.com or call 0435 481 202.
