Drama with a Difference, a leading independent drama school, is presenting a 'Fringe Festival Performance Course' from Tuesday, 10th May to Tuesday, 28th June 2016.
With a twenty year history, Drama with a Difference is widely regarded as the launching pad of many successful Australian actors.
With this unique course, you can learn the skills of acting and then put them into practice in front of a live audience in the Melbourne Fringe Festival.
This exciting new course is ideal for aspiring actors, as well as those who may want to use drama as a way of building confidence and self-esteem. Through learning and practising various techniques used by professional actors, you will learn how to captivate and hold an audience; with the added benefit of having regular interaction with like-minded people.
Held in a supportive environment, this particular course initially runs every Tuesday night from 7.15pm - 9.30pm from the venue in Clifton Hill. In the latter part of the course, additional rehearsals are added, and these, along with the performances, take place at a theatre in Kew.
This course is a must for the serious acting student, and is also suitable for those who want to use drama as a means to enhance their creativity, self-confidence or upfront presentation-skills. Drama and performing is also a wonderful form of stress release because it's fun! Students will learn improvisational skills, voice projection and stagecraft elements.
There are very few courses that offer acting students the real opportunity to perform in a major theatre festival, such as the Melbourne Fringe Festival. It's one thing to study acting, however, this course gives you the chance to put your study into practice and be seen live on stage!
Bookings can be made via the Drama with a Difference website. Once the booking is confirmed, payment will then be required.
