Have you ever wondered if perhaps something is not quite right in the world? These intrepid adventurers in this novel did. This book really taught me to always answer my curiosity. Perhaps that gut feeling really is based on something real. The curiosity of one mage in this story uncovers an evil plot formulated by the dark queen herself. Now these adventurers have to wonder if their curiosity is worth their lives. Dragons of the Dark Queens Dragon army have once again been unleashed on Krynn, along with an unstoppable force. These forces, lead by mysterious Dragon Highlords, are bent on the eradication of all that is good. But heroes rise to the occasion. Old friends, Knights, Clerics, Magicians and Elves once again bind together to fight the tide of darkness. Can these few remaining heroes survive, or will the fragments left of hope be scattered to the four winds? Will age-old enemies ever heal the wounds between them? Are the ancient Dragon Orbs the answer or is this the end of the Ancient gods?

This is a story about how a band of old friends travel through the land in search of the Dragon orbs, mysterious orbs of immense power, and Dragonlances, forged to defeat the dragons of evil. Unfortunately, the party gets separated in a run-in with the Dragon armies. This is the story of a Kender, a dwarf, a half-elf, two mysterious twins, a Solamnic Knight and two plainspeoples adventures through the harsh times of the
War of the Lance. Now wasnt that foreshadowing? If you are curious at all as to the fate of Krynn, read Dragons of Winter Night. This book is a little gory, so I recommend it to young adult readers. This book is great because of the clever way it is written, switching back and forth between the storylines. I think the author really does a great job of making you feel like you are actually there by telling every detail, to switching points of view. Please remember that this is the second in the Dragonlance Chronicles, not the first. I really suggest reading them in order. And remember that none should force you to read a book. You should stop if the book isn't to interesting.
