What can you honestly say you know about snails other than they eat the lettuce in your vegetable patch while leaving shiny tell tell trails and that Frenchmen, a little higher in the pecking order eat them ?

This is your opportunity to put this ignorance behind you and discover all you need to know about this precious mollusc from a local expert. On the 25th of March at 7.30pm the Brisbane Branch of the Wildlife Preservation Society of Queensland is holding one of its free public lectures at the Royal Geographical Society of Queensland premises, 237 Milton Road. Come along and listen to Dr John Stanisic who will talk about Snails and even show you some.

Stanisic is Australia's foremost expert on land snails having held the position of Curator of Molluscs for 26 years. He is an Honorary Research Fellow at the Queensland Museum and a research associate of the Australian Museum.
