Dr. Duck at Melbourne Fringe 2017

A healthy dose of humour
Despite the name - Dr Duck - this show actually has nothing to do with either ducks or doctors strangely. Instead, the show is made up of a series of comedic sketches performed by a group of six young comedic actors (Andrew Keen, Susie Kazda, Liam Howarth, Chloe Towan, Rian Howlett and Lara McArthur-Dowty). These sketches which are performed by one or more of the cast, range in length from a minute or so to ten minutes and cover a variety of topics including but not limited to customer service, renovation shows, animal adoption and house fires.

As to be expected with any comedy sketch show, the quality and humour of the sketches do vary with each new sketch, but there are certainly enough laughs to get you through the 50-minute show. And if not, the soundtrack surely will get you through the show! It's simply fabulous!

Dr Duck is playing nightly at the Courthouse Hotel until the 21st of September as part of the Melbourne Fringe Festival.

* Please note this show does contain shock-based content, that might make some people uncomfortable. So if you're not one for jokes about incest and having someone finger a pie, then this show is probably not for you.
