There will be some great and popular bands here
The Download Festival is a huge festival with a fabulous lineup of artists. It will be on at Flemington Racecourse on Monday 11th March 2019, from 11 am to 11 pm.

Flemington is Australia's largest sporting and entertainment event and is often the host of some of the largest one-day music festivals in Australia including Soundwave, Big Day Out and Future Music Festival. Flemington is only six kilometres from Melbourne's CBD and is easily accessible by car, taxi, train or tram.

This year, there is again a fabulous line up of artists from all over the world! Some of these are:

He is in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and is a Grammy-winning singer and songwriter. Ozzy Osbourne is currently in the middle of his 'NO MORE TOURS 2' and has chosen Download to host his final show in Australia/ This is his farewell world tour, where he celebrates more than five decades as a performer. It is indeed a wonderful coup to have obtained him for this event.

This group began in New York in 1981 and went on to sell over ten million records! They are a heavy metal band and will be a great act to see live.

Polaris is a 5 piece band who are firmly established as Australia's most elite heavy music exports. All three of their Australian headline tours have sold out including their most recent national tour which was their biggest show to date.

This group have a cult following and sing catchy and thought-provoking songs. The five-piece band from Perth is now firmly entrenched both here and internationally.

This group played last year and were very popular and have played right around the world since then. The lead singer is a loud frontwoman Karina Utomo.

Thy Art Is Murder is a Sydney metal crew who are described as "a new generation of death metal acolytes and vintage thrashers alike" They play to sold-out performances and did their longest ever European tour including a headline slot at Europe's Download Festival.

Pennsylvania's Code Orange is not easily defined. They have a Grammy nomination for the title track off of their most recent album and this group is supposedly now one of the most exciting bands in hardcore/metal music.

Their words are direct from the heart and they have a warm and welcoming stage manner. They are rock n roll brothers and originally hail from Tasmania. Playing to sold-out audiences they have also done a stint with Laneway Festival.

Rise Against have been together now for some 18 years and are a US-based group of musicians who speak out for social justice. Their songs are complex and about recognising the power within all of us.

This band is from California and are another band that is outside the margins of the mainstream and one who tours the world.

Ghost is a Grammy Award-winning rock band from Linkoping, Sweden. Their stage show delves into the plague, the apocalypse, and dark ages.

There are few heavy metal bands that have managed to get to where Judas Priest have during their 40-year career. The formed in the early '70s in England and were one of the first metal bands to wear leather and studs. This band then changed the world of heavy metal and still play to sell out shows wherever they go.
