The range of doughnuts on sale have such interesting names and either come filled or glazed at $6 a pop. I selected Veruca Salt, Crème de la Crème and The Butternut and it makes sense once you see the toppings involved.
The Butternut is all about the burnt butter glaze with crushed pistachios. Veruca Salt is a doughnut filled with salted caramel and dusted with cinnamon sugar. Crème de la Crème is a crème brulee custard filled doughnut with a sticky toffee glaze.
I love what Aussies think are things American style...they are not. I've never had a donut resembling anything like Doughnut Time pastries. Though Doughnut Time has very catchy names like the Vegan Fox or Ferrero No Share...I can't get past them charging $6 a pop for something in NYC where I'm from, that would be less than a $1.
One last note...I was surprised to find a Doughnut Time inside clothing chain Topshop cause that is exactly what one wants to do...eat a sugary, calorie laden treat just prior to try on jeans! Bahaha!
