I am a hungry artist living and working in Sydney. I am completing a philosophy degree and enjoy life.

Up for a good time?
Donut Time is located in busy World Square Shopping Centre just opposite the post office. It is tempting and as they say 'It is always a good time for doughnuts'. The store simply sells doughnuts for $6 each but what they do with them is pure sorcery.

They have fun themed delights such as The Cookie Monster, Ferrero No Share, Slim Shady, The Milo Cyrus, The Butternut, It's Always a Gay Time, Love at First Bite, Veruca Salt, Pump up the Jam and Get Ready to Crumble. They come packed in a neat take home package, even for a single doughnut…although why anyone would want just one is beyond me, why anyone would walk around with a single uneaten doughnut is also a mystery.

Doughnut Delight

If you are going to have a doughnut have one of the best. Don't waste calories on anything less tasty. You can't go past The Cookie Monster with Cream and Chocolate Glaze, marshmallow and chocolate biscuit filling topped with an Oreo.

Ferrero No Share lives up to its name with a mouth-watering dark chocolate Glaze , topped with roasted hazelnuts and a Ferrero Rocher. Veruca Salt is an acquired taste for those who enjoy salty and sweet flavour combinations. It features salted caramel filling and is dusted with cinnamon sugar.

The Milo Cyrus is a flashback to childhood memories. It features a milk chocolate and Milo glaze topped with chocolate crumbled Milo and filled with choc malt custard. The Get Ready to Crumble takes me back to winter at Grandma's house. It is perfect with a good tea or coffee. It features vegan caramel glaze, filled with apple and cinnamon and topped with a pecan crumb.

Up for a Good Time?

The only downside to Donut time is the calories – not sure exactly how much they are (and I just don't want to find out as it would spoil the magic) and the lack of a dine-in experience. You can only get takeaway. This could be a problem; you will be the envy of all who you walk past. Everyone knows what is in that delightful carry box. Be careful on your way home…
