Event:
Bring your dog and come along to dog day
The organisers of this event will be teaming up with Pound Paws to celebrate National Dog Day. This is the fourth year that they are hosting Double Bay Dog Day with a party!

The big four is actually a special number for them as their four legged friends are the reason behind these special events.

Why not come down to The Golden Sheaf and help have some fun with them and have a "barkin' good time!"

And furthermore, you can walk down the red carpet arrivals path which commences at 12 noon and goes until 4.00 pm with pup-arazzi!

The event will be held in The Golden Sheaf, 429 New South Head Road, Double Bay. This is a dog-friendly beer garden with live entertainment, rescue dogs for adoption, paw-tinis and there will be about 15 pet market stalls both in the dog-friendly beer garden and spread out into Kiaora Laneway. Some of the stalls there will be:

Professional fur-tographers
Doggie massages
Treat tastings
Puppy crystal healing
Free VET HQ vet checks
And more

Head to the pub with your four-legged fur friends and help spread awareness about rescue pups.

There will be dogs available for adoption from a variety of dog rescue groups around NSW. If you are looking for a forever friend, this is the place where you will find plenty of opportunities to find this. Even if you are not currently looking, it will still be a fun day and give your own dog a day out.

This community event is guaranteed to get those tails waggin' amongst the posh Double Bay neighbourhood community.

About Pound Paws Charity
Pound Paws is an Australian based charity which targets reducing the number of dogs on death row each year. They assist rescue centres and council pounds and similar with the overall adoption process. They also make use of modern online technology to re-home pets and to educate the Australian public.

One of their main enterprises is to arrange these pet adoption events. They also place pets into temporary foster homes as this will often save them from death row. Death row happens when a pound or similar cannot place an animal or when they are unsuitable to re-home due to behavioural problems.

Brittany Bloomer is the founder of Pound Paws. The other non-executive members of this board include specialist advisors and together this group of people form an experienced team who all provide their services free at no charge to Pound Paws.
