While The Wiggles are busy travelling the country for their Celebration Tour of Australia , Dorothy the Dinosaur will be bringing her brand new, Christmas-themed show to locations all over the east coast. The show has been written by Anthony Field, the Blue Wiggle, who says "my children have so much fun at Dorothy's Christmas Show and this new show will delight children of all ages!"

The Christmas Spectacular will see Dorothy joined by Captain Feathersword, Wags the Dog and Henry the Octopus, as well as two very special guests: Poppy, the Christmas Elf, and Santa Claus himself! There will be heaps of singing, with songs including all the most popular Christmas tunes like 'Here Come the Reindeer', 'Go Santa Go', 'Jingle Bells', 'Rockin' Santa', 'Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer' and 'It's a Christmas Party'.

The Victorian stretch of Dorothy's Christmas Spectacular tour will be first, with events in the following locations:

Friday November 30: Frankston Arts Centre , Frankston
Sunday December 2: South Barwon Civic Centre, Geelong
Monday December 3: Clocktower Centre , Moonee Ponds
Wednesday December 5: Cardinia Cultural Centre , Pakenham
Thursday December 6: Plenty Ranges Arts Centre , Plenty Ranges

The New South Wales stretch of the tour will be next. It will include shows at these locations:

Sunday December 9: Parramatta RSL , Parramatta
Monday December 10: Penrith Panthers , Penrith
Tuesday December 11: Sutherland Entertainment Centre , Sutherland
Wednesday December 12: Hornsby RSL , Hornsby
Thursday December 13: Campbelltown RSL , Campbelltown

In Queensland, there will be shows at the following places:

Monday December 17: Empire Theatre , Toowoomba
Tuesday December 18: Southport RSL , Gold Coast
Wednesday December 19: Ipswich Civic Centre , Ipswich
Thursday December 20: Brisbane Broncos Leagues Club , Brisbane
Friday December 21: Redcliffe Cultural Centre , Redcliffe

Almost all shows will start at 10.00am and you are expected to get to the venue up to half an hour early. Exceptions include Parramatta and Campbelltown, where shows will start at 10.30am. In Frankston, Ipswich and Redcliffe, there will also be an additional show at 12.30pm.

In most cases, you can get your tickets from the individual venues. The exception here is South Barwon Civic Centre in Geelong. You can get your tickets for this show at Oztix . Ticket prices vary at each venue, but the average price is $22.50 (regardless of age, though some venues will let very young kids in for free).
