Are you looking for something to do on Saturday 11 July? Why not join the residents of Doonside for their 33rd community festival from 9.00 to 15.00?
Located next to Doonside railway station, at the corner of Cross Street and Hill End Road, the festival is a wonderful opportunity for local residents and visitors to gather and enjoy a lovely day outdoors.
Admission to the festival is free, as are some of the attractions and activities on the day. Blacktown City Council promises free rides, free entertainment, and free lucky door prizes. Click here to view the stage program for the day.
Kids can also enjoy craft stalls and Emergency Service displays which make for great photo opportunities. World War II vehicles will also be displayed at this year's event, which is fitting given there will be a commemoration to mark the ANZAC Centenary and honour those men and women who served Australia in the Second World War.
