If you are old enough to remember hot mini jam ball donuts made to order purchased from the local food truck at your nearest festival or market venue, then this my friend is the cafe you must visit when in Shepparton.

Just from the street signage I knew my daughter and I were on a winner when we happened across this retro cafe on a recent visit to Shepparton.



What we didn't realise is not only would we be treated to made to order hot mini jam ball donuts, cinnamon iced donuts and a vast array of glazed and frosted donuts in the display cabinet to choose from but also the very best coffee and hot chocolate.



The added bonus when dining in at this cafe is the retro laminate dining tables and chairs. It really did feel like I had jumped back in time to the era of The Fonz and Happy Days (hopefully you are old enough like me to remember those days).



Not only is the interior retro but so is the customer service. By that I mean we were greeted on entry with smiles, the young lady who took our order from behind the counter was very friendly and delighted in sharing with us bestsellers (read hot mini jam ball donuts), my daughter's hot chocolate was served with two marshmallows on the side (as requested) and in a lovely teacup and saucer while my coffee was smooth, velvety and perfectly piping hot. The added bonus was our order was delivered to our table by the owner of the Cafe, a gentleman my daughter accurately described as looking like 'Santa', much to her delight.



Donut a GoGo is located at Vaughan Central, 46 Vaughan Street, Shepparton and is open 8.00am - 5.00pm Mon-Fri, 8.00am - 2.00pm Sat and 9.00am - 2.00pm Sun.

Shepparton is a city located approximately an hour and a half drive north of Melbourne and makes for an easy day trip or a great weekend getaway destination.
