Do you get inundated with charity phone calls? Well, this might be a pleasant surprise. A polite, brief letter arrived in my inbox today. It had a simple link to a donation page for Assistance Dogs. On this page, there is a basic payment processing form to fill in and you may donate as much or as little as you like.

Assistance Dogs provide a great service for people of all age groups with a disability. Assistance dogs add another dimension to the lives of their companions. You can even join the competition to name a puppy and see if the name you enter is given to one of these amazing pups.

These puppys are for people with physical or developmental disabilities. They are similar to guide dogs for the blind, but as guide dogs are an added set of eyes, assistance dogs are an extra set of hands, or paws as it may be.

So, if it's a rainy day and you want to do something uplifting, this is a great way to help provide an Assistance Dog to someone with a disability.

Hopefully, more fundraisers will adopt this method of fundraising. It is polite, time effective, informative and respectful.

You might even like to become a Puppy Educator and help bring up these pups!
